10 Ways
to Stimulate More Sales
by Scott F. Geld

1. Follow-up
with your customers once you have made the sale. A good follow-up method is to
send the customer a "thank you" e-mail. Within the e-mail you could inform the
customer of other products you offer. You can use this method every few months.
2. Offer your
customers items of value that complement their purchase. Present these products
on the order page so the customer can easily add them to their existing order.
3. Generate
additional sales by offering to rebate the full purchase price of a customer's
order if they refer four customers to your website.
4. When you
sell a product, give your customers the option of joining an affiliate program
so they can make commissions selling your product. This will multiply the sale
you just made.
5. Sell the
reprint/reproduction rights to your products. You could include an ad on or with
the product for other products you sell. You could make sales for the
reproduction rights and sales on the back end product.
6. Bundle your
product with other products. Make sure you include advertisements for other
products you sell.
7. Include a
coupon for similar products with every shipment or delivery. This gives your
customer an incentive to purchase more of your products.
8. Include a
catalog of products that are similar to the customer's purchase. Similar
products might include upgrades, special services, attachments. The customer
will buy more of your products if they had success with the first purchase.
9. Allow
customers to purchase your products with gift certificates. You will get the
sale when the customer redeems the gift certificate. The customer may also
purchase other products available on your websites.
10. Send
complimentary products with customer orders. These items should display your
business ads so that customers will want to place an order.
